Respironics ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask Product Features
Blue Gel Cushion Technology
The updated Blue gel used by the ComfortGel Blue Full Face is softer and conforms to the face better to provide an enhanced seal. The outer silicone membrane creates an effective seal. Additionally, the Comfort Flap uses Sure Seal Technology to provide a tight seal around the cushion. The Blue Gel Cushion and the SST Flap are replaceable, which allows a longer mask life.
Exhalation Ports and Elbow
The micro exhalation ports of the ComfortGel Blue Full Face Mask reduce the operation sound. The angle of the ports direct air away from the CPAP user and partner. With a 360 degree swivel connection, the elbow allows for movement during sleep and the hose may pass over the head or down and across the chest.
Forehead Adjustment and Pad
The proven comfort of the Premium Forehead Pad is used with the ComfortGel Blue Full Face Mask to enhance the fit. The redesigned cushion reduces pressure points. The StabilitySelector located between the forehead pad support and mask adjusts easily allowing users to find the best fit.
System One Resistance Control Number
Philips Respironics developed System One Resistance Control to provide the best pressure for therapy by considering the mask. This system recognizes when adjustments are necessary and executes these adjustments automatically.
ComfortGel Blue Compared With…
Dreamwear Nasal CPAP Mask
The Dreamwear Nasal CPAP mask is a minimalistic mask that utilizes reduced contact with the user to increase comfort. It has a soft, silicone frame to enhance the freedom of movement for the user. The Dreamwear is slightly more expensive than the AirFit N20 and ComfortGel Blue.
AirFit N20 Nasal CPAP Mask
The AirFit has its own fancy word for their cushion technology (InfinitySeal cushion) and also has magnetic clips. A number of people reported experiencing less air leakages and better range of vision with the AirFit. The AirFit is significantly more expensive though, so if price is a major factor, you may want to consider the ComfortGel Blue over the AirFit.
